Our Story

“I want to create a place where all of us locals, that frequently go out in Rutland City, can continue to give in this time of need.”

As of 2:00pm Tuesday March 17th, 2020 (which is oddly enough St. Patrick’s Day) Rutland City, VT bars, places of entertainment-gathering, and community spaces have had to close their doors as per issue by our Governor in relation to our current global situation.

Donate-a-Brew is an electronic menu of items that you can “Purchase”. No real drinks are exchanged. Your purchases are donations which will be held in the Donate-a-Brew account until whatever date in the future that the majority of our Rutland City businesses are able to open their doors again. Upon that community re-opening we will host an Open Gathering @ Merchants Hall in downtown Rutland where all funds in our Donate-a-Brew account will be disbursed as follows,

50% - BARS 

Center Street Saloon - The Pub - The Venue - Two Shea’s - Muckenschnabel's ... who have we missed!? Please contact us to suggest a bar be added to the project!

*we are currently excluding restaurant bars that have been able to remain open with deliveries.

30% - NonProfit Community Groups

10%  - Merchants Hall (sponsor/host)

10%  - Admin (fees, card processing, Godaddy, PayPal, Visa...)
